Peter Davison gives a polished performance with sheer enthusiasm for the script and the role, while crowded TARDIS crew of Tegan, Nyssa and Adric all get a share of the action. Writer Eric Saward's lovingly crafted script manages to harken back to Doctor Who's more traditional roots, whilst at the same time pointing the way forward towards a bright new future for the series ...
