Godiego is the brightest hope on both the Japanese and International music scenes. A five-piece Japanese rock band formed in 1976, their single 'Gandhara' and LP 'Monkey' both topped the Japanese charts in 1979. Their success is not limited to only the Japanese market, for many people in Britain know them for their version of the title song from the BBC TV series 'The Water Margin' and of course 'Monkey'. It is hoped that in Godiego there liesw the long-awaited creation of a Japanese band that would go beyond it's domestic boundaries to attain international success.

Godiego are:
Mickie Yoshino - Keyboards.
Yukihide Takekawa - Vocals.
Steve Fox - Bass.
Takami Asano - Guitar.
Tommy Snyder - Drums, Vocals, Marimba.

All songs composed by: Mickie Yoshino, Yukihide Takekawa.
All lyrics written by: Yoko Narahashi.

Monkey is made and produced by the Nippon TV Music Corporation.

In that time, there were companies set up within or structured brands as part of the company to deal with separate parts of the business, e.g. BBC Records for recorded audio.
