This is the fourth release in the series designed to promote the enormous talent that lurks within East Anglia. If you want to know the inside leg or chest measurements of any of the acts invoilved or would like to know more about Backwater one, two or three or indeed any other Noisebox releases then write and join our mailing list. Thanks to Richard Hammerton (Purple Rain) for the support, Ollie & the Wilde Club, Ant & Lorraine, Chris Wilson at the Swamp, Dominic Russell-Price, John Peel, Evening Session and anyone else who played or plugged the previous releases. Lemongrower: taken from the excellent debut album 'Segments' (NBX 011) out April 3rd 95. Stars of Backwater one, this new song is like a Latin American 'Norwegian wood'. Neil Keeler: singer/songwriter with an electronic twist and a touch of breathy female vocal, a major publishing deal for his cleverly-crafted and intelligent pop songs would not be a surprise. Soft Cotton County: taken from an excellent set of songs which may yet forma full length album on the Noisebox label this is a tale of lost suburban love with a subtle melody line. Bluescript: former Steerpike guitarist Richard Ringer returns with his new band, named after a DNA strand. Unsurprisingly, his distinctive guitar makes it very Steerpike (as featured on Backwater one). The new keyboard and vocals set this apart. | ||
